Social Media Tools I’m Crushing on Right Now!

Earlier last year I talked about social media being a necessary evil as an entrepreneur. Especially for marketers who are continuously faced with an ever-growing list of responsibilities in today’s tech-savvy world. Everywhere from social media to adverting to good ‘ol customer service. I for one know that it can sometimes be a challenge to stay on top of everything.

Luckily there are many tools to help one succeed in this role all the while staying productive. These tools involve everything from content curation, scheduling, publishing, easy video making, post designing in various sizes, analytics, platform connecting and so much more. I could literally go on an on and probably make an entire month series about all the nifty, life-saving social media tools available at our finger tips! However, today I’m only going to share 5 social media tools that I’m really crushing on right now. The ones that help me make my social media plan fun, easy and organized!

I want to start with WooBox, for good reason. Its main function is social promotion which allows you to run contests, polls, sweepstakes, share coupons, and so much more, right across all of your favourite social platforms. However, I use it for so much more than that. I love the feature that allows you to connect all your other social media platforms as tabs on my main hub, my Facebook business page.

This allows me to connect my Twitter and Instagram pages as well as my YouTube channel so my audience can see what’s going on in all places under one roof. How amazing is it to have your audience be able to check out what’s happening on your Facebook business page then easily touch base with a few clicks and check out what new YouTube videos you’ve posted, what tweets are hot on your feed right now as well as what new images you’re featuring on Insta. Having WooBox make this connection is not only great for marketing purposes on the entrepreneurial end but for ease of access to the viewers. I just love it! And best of all … it’s free!

Oh wait … Just one more exciting thing before we move onto the next tool …

You can even connect MailChimp! Yes, you heard me right. You can use this feature to sync your lists for all your WooBox campaigns. This way nobody misses out on anything your business has going on. It’s a win-win for everyone. No pun intended. LOL!

Okay, this next tool is more so for the nerd side in me … Facebook Pixel. It’s a small piece of code that offers a huge level of piece of mind by helping one measure and optimize ad campaigns. Facebook pixel helps you understand how to cross-device your advertisements, ensures they are being shown to the individuals most likely to take action AND with something called dynamic ads, helps you show your website viewers the products/services they viewed on your website. Meaning it shows the right things to the right people at the right times. Personalization with the manual work and all you need is a Facebook pixel, a business manager account and a catalogue.

This next tool is quite new to me virtual toolbox and was shared with me by one of my clients. It’s called Causley. It is a platform that delivers fresh digital content TO YOU each and every month to encourage your online community to check-in and support some really amazing causes. Ones that make a huge difference in the lives of those who need it most all around the world. Causley calls it the Wall of Giving.

It works as simple as it sounds … as your online community checks in, they share the location with their friends. Then thousands of people hear about the location as you build a charitable reputation for your brand. Every check-in triggers a donation. And, every month Causley makes a donation to one of those great causes on your behalf.

Together, we can all create a huge impact and make this life … this world a better place for everyone!

Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference.

Only two more tools to go through. Having fun yet?

If you already knew about the social media tools I mentioned above, or for some reason they don’t interest you these next two might as they are all about living in a visually pleasing presence.

Biteable is a DIY video making platform. You can make studio-quality videos in literally just a snap of you finger … unbelievably good, unbelievably fast. In a crunch? Need some good content fast? Then all you have to do is log-in, pick a style (hundreds of scenes to choose from in their template section), add your content (text, photos, logo, etc.), choose the track you want people to bop to (use their library or upload your own), tell you story and share. Yes, it’s really that easy! I’m actually not going to say anymore about this tool and just let you check it out for yourself!

And, last but not least … Canva.

It is an online graphic design tool which is perfect for working individually or with teams of all sizes. It has an easy to use drag-and-drop interface and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. The tools can be used for both web and print media design and graphics. I feel their best feature is the pre-set sizes so if you’re working on something specific you don’t have to waste time hunting for the “proper” size. So, whether you’re a professional or just beginning your design journey, this resource has everything you need. They also have a few extra fun areas with ready-made templates and a pro feature section which makes designing in their platform even more efficient than it already is.

Utilizing these tools, as well as the many other options out there, will help improve your daily workflow and results right across the board.

Happy social media-ing!

Crystal is an artist, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a doer, and down-right proud of it NERD!.

Struck with a love for #AllThings creative at a very young age, Crystal dreamed of a life fueled by her passion for creating and bringing the stories and images in her mind into reality.

As she worked toward her dreams, she earned a diploma as a Computer Applications Specialist then another in Graphic Design and from there began to develop her extensive background in multimedia and the arts. She began her worked in the magazine industry as a layout designer and had a succession of design jobs thereafter. It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world. A spark was lit! She turned her freelance gig into a full-time business combining design work with her other passion: creating organization from virtual chaos.

Crystal is one of the most organized individuals on the planet. She is by all means a Zen master of her crafts. She excels at helping others become “untangled” and provides her clients with tools to run their businesses smoothly while she takes care of the details behind the scenes. Thus Virtually Untangled was born. A successful business where her work as a top notch creative in graphic and web — with a twist of virtual assistant — married into one amazing place where clients can come with their virtual messes and become magically untangled. Crystal can always make sense of even the most unorganized chaos and offers a virtual detox of order and peace, so her clients can get busy doing the work that they love the most.
