Who Are Virtual Assistants?

When I started my graphic design freelance business 7 years ago, I had all the motivation and creativity in me but felt I wasn’t acquiring the “right clients”. Over time it wore me out and the jobs became more stressful than passionate. I’ve lived and dreamed graphic design my entire life and now I was more than ready to walk away from all my hard work.

Then a light bulb came on … why give up everything I’ve worked my entire life for? Why not just expand the service level to get a mixture of everything I love so much in this world … design, writing, being creative and crazy organized?! So, here I am. Enlightening my true passions, on day one of my “soft launch” of Virtually Untangled.

First and foremost, I believe a little personality goes a long way. One’s blog should showcase one’s personality … I would like you to feel I’m speaking to you personally and to be able to let the creative juices flow, as messy as they may be. With that being said, let’s get started!

I feel it’s important to talk about the ever-fast growing field of virtual assistance. Who are we? What do we do? What are the benefits over hiring an actual employee?

A Virtual Assistant (VA) is self-employed and provides professional creative (social), technical and/or administrative assistance to clients remotely (I prefer “virtually”). Because VA’s are independent contractors rather than employees, clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing office space, equipment or supplies.

Statistically speaking, it is estimated that there are as many as 25,000 Virtual Assistants worldwide.

Are you now curious on whether to hire a VA?

1. Driving Business Growth:
Okay, just admit it – you cannot work on all of the tasks in front of you by yourself. You want to de-clutter your desk and your mind but having an extra employee around is too tight (on space and budget). Next step … open up the virtual floor, hire a talented virtual assistant, help them develop a complete understanding of your entire business and share ideas together. Eventually (or perhaps right away – depending on your needs) you will see growth in production.

2. Accessing Talented Individuals:
Your Virtual Assistance understands your business right to its very core. As a result, you will notice that knowledge reflected in each and every task performed by them. An extremely great benefit is not being bothered with geographical restrictions which allows you full access to talent right across the globe. More options plus lower costs equals seeing your “big picture” as a shining reality. Keep in mind, the more you and your VA communicate, the clearer their understanding of the company and the task requirements will be.

3. 24/7 Availability Worldwide:
In this modern day-in-age, being available 10+ hours a day to your customers just doesn’t seem like enough. Hiring a Virtual Assistant from a different time zone will change that and provide 24/7 availability to help you widen your market reach (even during official holidays) and actually find that work/life balance you’ve been looking for.

4. No More Task Juggling:
You already have too many tasks to juggle on a day-to-day basis. You work very hard to get things done even if that means stay past the normal office hours or taking work home. By outsourcing those tasks to a VA, you will finally be able to focus and drive your business growth. Or perhaps even use those extra hours to explore new opportunities. Virtually Assistant’s are there to help you organize, build, manage and maintain your business goals with ease. Help you manage multiple tasks in a regular manner within a limited amount of time.

5. Improving Your Online Presence:
An active social media presence requires a ton of time, patience and persistence. Not everyone has time for this amount of work in their day so they deem these tasks as unimportant. This is not the case as increasing your frequency of posts on your social media platform will strengthen your brand identity. Not sure where to go next? Ask your VA to do the essentials, help you increase involvement and post frequency, connect with consumers and offer prompt response to their queries, all while keeping your brand intact. Thus, once again, increasing growth in your business.

6. Flexible Work Schedule:
Virtual Assistants have the ability of a flexible work schedule meaning they are able to adjust accordingly to your business needs either on a project or hourly basis. This is a huge benefit that can maximize performance and increase production along with managing business costs.

7. A Promise in Saving You Money:
With having a full-time employee you are entitled to pay for the entire work day (whether they worked it or just played on social media). By hiring a Virtual Assistant, you are only required to pay for the hours worked. You also won’t need to pay for sick days, vacation days or health insurance. This will save you a great deal of money, all the while being offered valuable services with your best interests at heart.

8. Strengthen Your Weak Areas:
All entrepreneurs (including myself) like to be in full control and doing absolutely everything on their own. Truth be told, this is not possible! By hiring a VA, you can make up for the skill gap in your organization. This will provide you with extra skill sets and help you accomplish goals and tasks being left behind. Or perhaps you are unfamiliar with a particular skill and do not have the time or the money to acquire it. Virtual Assistant’s would be able to perform those “tricky” tasks for you creating more time for other things on your to-do list and less stress.

Now of course this list could go on. I just highlighted what I feel are the most important perks of hiring this type of assistance. Virtual Assistants are committed to providing you productive results in a quick time-frame for a price that won’t break your bank. Like you, we are also trying to grow our business and have those same things in mind. Our passion is whole-heartedly exclusive to assisting entrepreneurs (just like you) in succeeding. We want you to be able to pursue your passion, just like when you started your business and feel clutter and stress free.

So seize the opportunity … and get your dreams results now!

Crystal Kordalchuk

Crystal is an artist, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a doer, and down-right proud of it NERD!.

Struck with a love for #AllThings creative at a very young age, Crystal dreamed of a life fueled by her passion for creating and bringing the stories and images in her mind into reality.

As she worked toward her dreams, she earned a diploma as a Computer Applications Specialist then another in Graphic Design and from there began to develop her extensive background in multimedia and the arts. She began her worked in the magazine industry as a layout designer and had a succession of design jobs thereafter. It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world. A spark was lit! She turned her freelance gig into a full-time business combining design work with her other passion: creating organization from virtual chaos.

Crystal is one of the most organized individuals on the planet. She is by all means a Zen master of her crafts. She excels at helping others become “untangled” and provides her clients with tools to run their businesses smoothly while she takes care of the details behind the scenes. Thus Virtually Untangled was born. A successful business where her work as a top notch creative in graphic and web — with a twist of virtual assistant — married into one amazing place where clients can come with their virtual messes and become magically untangled. Crystal can always make sense of even the most unorganized chaos and offers a virtual detox of order and peace, so her clients can get busy doing the work that they love the most.
