The Reason I Started Writing This Blog …

Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today. ~ Robert McKee, Author

On Monday I am celebrating my 200th blog post so I figured what better way to celebrate, in advance, then to share with you in a micro-blog kind of way, the WHY behind why I started writing this blog!

I started writing as a personal tool to journal as a way to help me be more mindful of the changes that were going on in my life. This all started at a very young age, in my diary which grew to my young adult years as journaling and right on through (still in my “younger years”, ha-ha!) as part of my business. However, somewhere along the line, it became less about me writing stories of my life and more about the story of changing the way people see business … And let me start by saying this … Technology sometimes has a bad reputation. However, one of the greatest gifts is ever gave society is the ability to gain access to any and every resource imaginable. Which is the main reason I started this blog. I wanted to put myself into that virtual container of the internet by sharing insightful and resourceful bi-weekly blog posts in a fun, yet informational kind of way. I want to share with the world things that will help entrepreneurs’ businesses grow. Provide them with information they may not know about, or perhaps a bit more in depth.

Since I’m a one-stop-shop virtual business I wanted my blog to also be a one-stop-shop of information.

#GraphicDesign is my #SecretSauce but writing #SoothesMySoul.

I also wanted a way to showcase the growth stories of other entrepreneurs I have meet (and will meet – more success series to come) along the way. So, after starting my first interview series back in 2017, I realized there was a strong need for more storytelling. I was left with a feeling of pure gratitude and inspiration so wanted to figure out a way to show support to all the hardworking entrepreneurs, just like you, hustling out there, building their empires and not letting a single thing stomp on their dreams.

#PayItForward #WeDugDeep

Sharing these stories has not only opened my eyes to the incredible talents and strengths of other amazing humans all around the globe but has helped others along the way … whether in a struggle of how to leave their dead-end 9 to 5 or looking for growth but feeling stuck. I wanted other entrepreneurs to feel as empowered as I did when I interviewed these individuals. And, I wanted to help make their special businesses shine – even more than they already are. So, in short, I wanted my blog to be informative and resourceful all around. Through the art of storytelling as well as through a passionately creative outlet on my end that I could entirely control.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Crystal is an artist, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a doer, and down-right proud of it NERD!.

Struck with a love for #AllThings creative at a very young age, Crystal dreamed of a life fueled by her passion for creating and bringing the stories and images in her mind into reality.

As she worked toward her dreams, she earned a diploma as a Computer Applications Specialist then another in Graphic Design and from there began to develop her extensive background in multimedia and the arts. She began her worked in the magazine industry as a layout designer and had a succession of design jobs thereafter. It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world. A spark was lit! She turned her freelance gig into a full-time business combining design work with her other passion: creating organization from virtual chaos.

Crystal is one of the most organized individuals on the planet. She is by all means a Zen master of her crafts. She excels at helping others become “untangled” and provides her clients with tools to run their businesses smoothly while she takes care of the details behind the scenes. Thus Virtually Untangled was born. A successful business where her work as a top notch creative in graphic and web — with a twist of virtual assistant — married into one amazing place where clients can come with their virtual messes and become magically untangled. Crystal can always make sense of even the most unorganized chaos and offers a virtual detox of order and peace, so her clients can get busy doing the work that they love the most.
