So, today’s a very special blog post as I had the opportunity to interview Janet Clark, CEO of The Freedom Shift. Janet is such an inspiring go-getter individual that I have had the pleasure of becoming great entrepreneurial friends with and her story and business resonated with me so much that I just NEEDED to share it with you!

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Janet Clark provides an elite Golden Door opportunity to the world of high ticket sales. She changes the lives of coaches, consultants and sales professionals through her High Ticket Sales Alliance Program which is the #1 place to make the right connections and get introduced to the most elite high ticket coaches and consultants in the world. Now let’s hear what Janet had to say …

Tell us a bit about you and your business …
The Freedom Shift offers high ticket sales solutions and matching services. We help coaches and consultants gain time and financial freedom by providing the sales help they need to close more high ticket offers.

What inspired the passion within you to do what you do?
I love entrepreneurship and I’m inspired to help entrepreneurs create financial, time and lifestyle freedom.

Walk us through a typical day in the life of high ticket sales?
LOL, there is no “typical” day. Every day in my life is new and different. I speak with coaches, consultants and salespeople from all over the world. I connect with them through social media, phone or video. The only thing that is typical is that I get to make an impact on people’s lives every single day.

How do you continue to ignite that fire within you?
I start every day by journaling and setting my intention for the day. I meditate, attend an online service and receive communion with my spiritual community. I tune into my purpose each day and surround myself with people who energize me. I am very aware of what drains my energy and I make sure to eliminate those things from my day-to-day life. I also prioritize time with my family, especially my grandchildren who make my heart sing.

What were some of the challenges you had to overcome to get to where you are today?
Well let’s just say, I raised 4 sons while climbing the corporate ladder, I quit my job when 3 of my sons were teenagers and the youngest was in middle school because my oldest son was getting into some trouble and he was depressed. We all worked together in a start-up business while they were in high school and I ended up $100K in debt. My business partner left me high and dry, so I went back to corporate to pay off that debt. I was married at a very young age and have now been married for 40 years and anyone who has ever been married knows there are challenges right there. When I left corporate for the second time, I built my own 6-figure B2B sales agency. A few years ago, I started The Freedom Shift and I’ve had to deal with all the challenges of growing a multi-6 figure sales business. I recently lost my Dad to Alzheimer’s and I was the primary person managing his care. My life has been full of challenges, but I have persevered in order to do build successful businesses.

Looking forward into the next few years, what goals are you most excited about?
I have a big goal to hit the $1M level and then start funding a special project to leave my legacy with the world. I’m not yet sure if it will be in the educational realm or Alzheimer’s care. Maybe I’ll do both because I’m passionate about changing the way we teach children and take care of the elderly.

If another entrepreneur asked for your advice and you only had a few short minutes to give them your best tip, what would it be?
I advise entrepreneurs to do 3 things:

  • Find a mentor that you trust;
  • Immerse yourself in a community of like-minded people; and
  • Implement systems as quickly as possible.

What is it about your business that keeps you inspired?
Helping coaches and consultants to share their gifts and talents with the world. I love entrepreneurship.

What three words would you use to describe your business? Your personality?
I feel that the words that would describe both my business and my personality would be the same … collaborative, dynamic and trustworthy.

Anything else you’d like to add Janet?
Crystal, I appreciate you on so many levels. You are an awesome team player, loyal and committed. Beyond that, you have amazing talent and creativity. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to share my work with the other entrepreneurs.

It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world.
