Check in with Yourself …!

Life can move pretty darn fast sometimes and if you don’t stop and smell the roses occasionally, you could miss it! It’s beneficial to you (and your business) to check in with yourself about where you are at, how your goals are moving along, and most importantly, how YOU ARE FEELING about where you are at, and where you are headed.

Mindfulness is a translation of the Indian word "sati" which means awareness or attention. To be mindful is to purposefully and non-judgmentally pay attention to the present moment.

To help with all that, here are a few ways to help you be more mindful during your day …

  • Check in with yourself by acknowledging your emotions throughout the say.
    • Ask yourself how you’re doing today? How are you feeling at this very moment? Are you happy?

  • Check in with yourself by being grateful as this will magnify your already positive attitude and bring you back to what’s really important in your life.
    • Your day will shift. Remember to share the love with yourself as well!

  • Check in with yourself by asking important questions that will help you avoid impulse decisions.
    • Does this choice serve your greater good?

  • Check in with yourself by taking a look at your progress. Are you achieving your goals?
    • You don’t have to move ahead in leaps and bounds to be successful. Baby steps count too …!

  • Check in with yourself by trusting your intuition. Your inner voice knows what you truly need and desire.
    • Start honing in on this more when making tough decisions.

  • Check in with yourself by getting in touch with your body – is stress taking over and making you tense? Is your heart fluttering?
    • Your body signals will never lie to you. Trust them.

What if I told you that being mindful of yourself and you need by checking in with yourself through some of the items listed above, for as little as 5 to 10 minutes per day, could help reduce stress, elevate your mood and even improve your self-esteem?

Mindfulness is not about relaxing and finding your inner chi but of checking in with yourself and being present with the movement of your thoughts. Your end goal here is to reconnect with yourself. Bring yourself back down to earth for a few minutes per day. Make space in your life for you. Remember, powerful and effective change comes from inside so if one only focuses on the world outside, one will never unearth, nurture and realize the goals one truly desires …!

Crystal is an artist, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a doer, and down-right proud of it NERD!.

Struck with a love for #AllThings creative at a very young age, Crystal dreamed of a life fueled by her passion for creating and bringing the stories and images in her mind into reality.

As she worked toward her dreams, she earned a diploma as a Computer Applications Specialist then another in Graphic Design and from there began to develop her extensive background in multimedia and the arts. She began her worked in the magazine industry as a layout designer and had a succession of design jobs thereafter. It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world. A spark was lit! She turned her freelance gig into a full-time business combining design work with her other passion: creating organization from virtual chaos.

Crystal is one of the most organized individuals on the planet. She is by all means a Zen master of her crafts. She excels at helping others become “untangled” and provides her clients with tools to run their businesses smoothly while she takes care of the details behind the scenes. Thus Virtually Untangled was born. A successful business where her work as a top notch creative in graphic and web — with a twist of virtual assistant — married into one amazing place where clients can come with their virtual messes and become magically untangled. Crystal can always make sense of even the most unorganized chaos and offers a virtual detox of order and peace, so her clients can get busy doing the work that they love the most.
