Facebook Groups – Why You Should Take the Leap and Join …

Social media networks have come a long way since the implementation of the idea several years ago. Honestly, I was on the fence for a long time before I decided to dive in and make an effort. Now I feel like it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made for my business. But before you dive in and start joining every group you encounter, the first question you must ask yourself is, what do you want from these social media groups and why would you want to join? How will they benefit your long term?

The main reason these networks were created is so people all over the world can meet and connect with other like-minded individuals. On just about every social networking site, you can browse the network and meet new people. You can find people of every kind from all over the world. Or you can just focus on meeting certain types of new friends.

The secondary reason is for professional development, as this is a part of your career management. Within the Facebook groups you can interact with members in your industry to gain knowledge and build credibility. Networking here will help you connect with influential members.

As there are so many groups out there, it is very important to join relevant groups. Obvious indications of such groups are their large memberships and active discussions. Focus more on the active discussions and participate actively. Another top reason to join a good handful of Facebook networking groups is so that you can stay on top of on the most recent news and trends within your industry. You often have the option to receive the group news feed directly to your personal profile page. I would highly suggest doing this, so you will be in the know immediately.

Why you ask? Well, you might see a posting pertaining to subject matter of which you have never heard. Or some new technology on the uprising. You will not only be able to take the time to learn about the subject, but you will be enhancing your skill set to make yourself more employable.

The key here is to become involved in what these social networking groups have to offer. Once you start participating in them, you will begin to make connections and then you will see the true value coming through.

Not sure where to start the hunt? Which ones to join? What groups are better than others?

Well, today I’m going to share my list with you. Feel free to choose which ones resonate with you as some here are many not pertain to your industry/niche, but most are good for learning and connecting with other in the entrepreneurial world no matter what you specialize in.

So, take a peak (alpha order just for you, LoL) and start joining …

Crystal is an artist, a writer, an organizer, a dreamer, a doer, and down-right proud of it NERD!.

Struck with a love for #AllThings creative at a very young age, Crystal dreamed of a life fueled by her passion for creating and bringing the stories and images in her mind into reality.

As she worked toward her dreams, she earned a diploma as a Computer Applications Specialist then another in Graphic Design and from there began to develop her extensive background in multimedia and the arts. She began her worked in the magazine industry as a layout designer and had a succession of design jobs thereafter. It was her role as a graphic/web designer that gave her the first real glimpse of her future. Soon she began a side job as a freelance designer while keeping one foot in the corporate world. A spark was lit! She turned her freelance gig into a full-time business combining design work with her other passion: creating organization from virtual chaos.

Crystal is one of the most organized individuals on the planet. She is by all means a Zen master of her crafts. She excels at helping others become “untangled” and provides her clients with tools to run their businesses smoothly while she takes care of the details behind the scenes. Thus Virtually Untangled was born. A successful business where her work as a top notch creative in graphic and web — with a twist of virtual assistant — married into one amazing place where clients can come with their virtual messes and become magically untangled. Crystal can always make sense of even the most unorganized chaos and offers a virtual detox of order and peace, so her clients can get busy doing the work that they love the most.
