I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by and that the holiday season is literally just around the corner.
Let the countdown begin to some digital downtime! 😉
It's also the TIME to help improve your community and the world as a whole (especially if you work virtually like we do!). Plus, giving back is the most satisfying way to market your business. And thankfully, there are ways that you give back without breaking the bank. It could even introduce some networking opportunities.
The holidays are hard enough as it is … Putting up your holiday décor, shopping for the “perfect” gift for everyone on your list, trying to make your baking look like Martha Stewart’s and not like what you’d see on “Nailed It”, office get togethers, family dinners all the while trying to get your holiday promo’s in order so you can take some well-deserved time off.
Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t. - Anonymous
So, by taking some time to think of others and giving back to your community, this can supercharge your marketing by building up your brand’s recognition and reputation. But here’s the problem when you’re a solo-preneur with a small budget … The funds just aren’t flowing as much as you’d like in order to do something extra special for those in need in your community. And trust me, I know as I’ve been running a small non-profit out of my home, on the sidelines called Bags of Hope for the last 6 years. It’s a lot of heavy lifting (and not as much funds) as everything that comes through the door is donation based but to see the smiles of those who need it most is worth it in the end.
At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished … It’s about who you’ve lifted up and who’s life you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back. – Denzel Washington
However, if you feel you’re in a time crunch enough as it is and can’t find an extra minute to do something on a long-term basis, thankfully there are many other ways that you and your business can give back without breaking the bank.

So, please remember that you do not have to make massive thousands or million-dollar donations in order to make a difference. A handful of change, a child’s toy to the Christmas Cheer Board, a warm coat or pair of mittens to someone less fortunate and living on the street or even donating a small percentage of your profits to a charity that warms your heart will add up over time. And in the end, every little bit counts a will definitely make a difference! ❤️
Gratitude begins in our hearts and then dovetails into behavior. It almost always makes you willing to be of service, which is where the joy resides. It means that you are willing to stop being such a jerk. When you are aware of all that has been given to you, in your lifetime and even just the past few days, it is hard not to be humbled and pleased to give back. - Anonymous
